Contacts and services
The Staff Equity and Diversity Office provides assistance, advice, support and information to employees of the University as part of the University's responsibility to ensure equality of opportunity in employment, and ensure that it meets legislative requirements through the implementation of equitable and diverse workplace practices. The Office is located within Human Resources on the 4th floor of S block at the Toowoomba campus. There are also a number of equity networks across the University who are able to provide services and advice to staff on a wide range of equity issues.
Development programs
The Women and Leadership Mentor Program is part of a suite of professional development programs offered through Human Resources, along with the Equal Opportunity (EO) Online training program which all employees are required to complete. The University also offers the USQ Equal Opportunity for Women Achievement Award on an annual basis to recognise and reward appropriate development initiatives for women.
Related support services
The USQ Women's Network Inc strives to provide and encourage leadership, development and advancement of women. It supports a culture in the University that acknowledges, values and promotes women's achievements and contributions across all campuses.
In addition, a range of information in relation to maintaining a healthy work/life balance is available to assist employees throughout their working life at the University.
