About the host city

The conference will be held at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba. Perched 700 metres above sea level over an escarpment of the Great Dividing Range, Queensland’s largest inland city Toowoomba, population 90,000, is the regional capital of the Darling Downs and annually hosts the nationally famous Carnival of Flowers. Coming to Toowoomba, one can savour the many facets of the city itself and of the surrounding scenery. This Garden City is also rich in municipal, commercial and industrial history, and is renowned for its theatres, art galleries, museums and restaurants. The region offers botanical gardens, national parks and a healthy climate. The temperature range for the city in September-October averages from 10ºC to 24ºC.
