USQ is committed to the encouragement of the further education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Our Centre for Australian Indigenous Knowledges (CAIK) is located at all our three campuses, and offers support to our Indigenous students - whether it is arranging Indigenous Tutorial Support Scheme (ITAS) assistance, transport and accommodation for Residential Schools, student learning support, access to the computer lab or just having a cuppa and a yarn.
The Indigenous Higher Education Pathways Program (IHEPP) has been developed to give students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent access to tertiary preparation skills with an Indigenous focus.
USQ offers scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to support them in achieving their full academic potential.
