Events

Residents enjoy a variety of social activities individual to each college- ConcannonMcGregor and Steele Rudd, and within the entire college community.

The Welcome and Inauguration Dinner

The Colleges have a combined welcome dinner held usually in the second week of the Semester, to welcome all new and returning students. It is also the occasion to officially install the Executive of the Resident Students' Club for each College and to award the Vice-Chancellor's Academic Prizes for Excellence in academic achievement during the previous year. These are semi-formal dinners which means dress is smart casual.

Semi-formal Dinner

In addition to the Welcome and Inauguration Dinner, a semi-formal dinner is held in first semester. Sometimes there is a guest speaker, and usually a musical item or some other entertainment is provided by the students.

Formal Dinner

The Formal Dinner is a formal black tie occasion. It is organised by the RSC's to say farewell to final year students and to conclude the year's social events. The decor and theme usually reflect considerable imagination and effort on the part of the organisers and is a particularly significant occasion in the social calendar.
