Services

To help you focus on your studies, we've made sure that some of the hassles and interruptions of daily life are left out of your college experience. At Concannon, we have a range of services to help you balance all aspects of your life, including:

Meals

During the weekdays there are two meal times per day - breakfast (where lunch can be collected) and dinner. On weekends and public holidays we offer lunch and a special, extended breakfast.

If you require a special diet, don't worry!  Vegetarian, halal, low gluten and dairy free diets are all catered for. We have also engaged the services of a dietician to ensure the meals have good nutritional value. You can view a sample Residential Colleges menu (PDF 19 KB).

Linen 

To save you a lot of time, reduce disruption, and let you get on with more important things, we'll provide and launder your linen on a weekly basis - can't complain about that.

Cleaning

A professional cleaning service is provided to maintain common areas and bathroom facilities at no extra charge. However, residents are required to keep their own bedrooms clean. Access to vacuum cleaners can be arranged through the Collegiate Team.

Security 

Making sure that you're as safe as possible, a 24 hour security service regularly patrols the Concannon residential college.

Support 

Living with a bunch of friends, support is never far away. Our collegiate staff and other senior residents provide a personal level of support, networking, advice and companionship that you would struggle to find anywhere else. Life skills workshops are arranged throughout the semester. You will also have the opportunity to join academic tutorial programs.

Organised social and sporting events 

Some of your greatest college memories will be created at either sporting or social events. The events our residents look forward to each year include:

• Inter-College sporting competitions (such as the Residential College Shield and 'The Ashes')
• Concannon College Charity Day - Golf, touch football and a BBQ
• Welcome and Inauguration Dinner
• Formal Dinner
