Conferences and events

During vacation periods, the USQ Residential Colleges are able to cater for a variety of conferences, functions, meetings, lunches and sporting events. Events currently catered for include the:

• International Students Orientation Program
• USQ Students Residential Schools
• McGregor Summer and Winter Schools.

Residential Colleges and USQ provide a range of facilities for functions and events, including:

• the Heathwood Room (adjacent to the McGregor College Office) an air-conditioned seminar venue for up to 65 people, with full table service catering and bar facilities available
• three College dining rooms (McGregor, Steele Rudd and Concannon) provide comfortable seating for up to 200, with full table service catering and bar facilities available
• the Allison Dickson Lecture Theatre, an air-conditioned lecture theatre equipped with sophisticated audio-visual facilities for up to 350 people
• an Indoor Recreation Centre, suitable for trade exhibitions for up to 2800 people
• University Rooms, suitable for intimate groups or large conventions of up to 900 people
• the Japanese Gardens, ideal for outdoor weddings or other events
• Student Guild facilities, which are able to cater for meetings and conferences for groups from 5 to 40 people
• five sporting ovals.
