Application and fees

Resident accommodation

Accommodation places are offered to students in order of receipt of application. In order to avoid disappointment, please apply as early as possible.

• Complete the online application form, or download the PDF version application (PDF 71KB) form and mail or fax to USQ (details are on the form).
• Forward payment details for the AUD50 application fee.
• Note that the application fee is not refundable.

• Offers of accommodation will be mailed or emailed to applicants.
• Offers of accommodation will specify:
• the fees payable and the due date for acceptance, and
• the accommodation lease/rental period.

• Upon receipt of the Letter of Offer, students are required to return the paperwork and payment by the due date.
• Payment of fees is deemed acceptance of the Rules of Residency.

Casual accommodation

Casual accommodation is also available for:

• international students attending international orientation
• international students enrolled in UNIPREP and ELICOS
• residential school students
• students and staff when casual vacancies arise
• student study tours
• conference guests
• students enrolled in Semester 3, and
• students attending the McGregor Schools held annually in January and July.

Places in Residential Colleges for Semester 1 may be offered as early as December for some students where university enrolment is confirmed by way of early round offers and where students apply early. This may also be the case for international students, mature-age Australian students and some year 12 students, where acceptance into a University programs is based on previous deferrals, interview, audition or other selection criteria.

The remaining accommodation offers are made to students after the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) academic enrolment details are advised in January.
