About ACSBD
The Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development (ACSBD) supports a broadly based research program dedicated to promoting sustainable development through innovations in organisational and community sustainability. With expertise in regional community and economic development, social impact management planning, socioeconomic analysis, and engaged community research, we are able to provide research at the interface between regionally based industries and their communities.
Our research team is also able to provide organisational level and supply chain research and interventions to improve a broad range of business and sustainability performance indicators including eco efficiency, information systems, reporting and governance, and employee engagement, wellbeing, health and safety.
A highly qualified adjunct faculty has been established to advise the development of the ACSBD. Our Adjunct Professorial and Industry Fellows are comprised of leading sustainability practitioners from Australia and overseas.
The Centre's research is grounded in high quality research projects involving partners from industry, government and other research centres. ACSBD is actively seeking PhD candidates keen to work in a Centre committed to making a positive difference in the world.
The Centre is established at all three USQ campuses - at Springfield on Brisbane's south-western outskirts, at Toowoomba and at Hervey Bay where an innovative community research partnership in economic development and enterprise is underway.
