Governance

The ACSC is led by Professor Roger Stone (Director) and Dr Shahbaz  Mushtaq (Deputy Director, Research) who are charged with the task of managing and building the potential of the Centre.

ACSC Management Committee (AMC):

Membership of the committee consists of the Centre Director (chair), the Deputy Director plus one representative from each research program of the Centre.

The management committee will meet bimonthly (or as needed) to consider advice on programs being pursued, performance and ranking against research metrics, and to determine strategic planning for the centre and the commensurate expenditure of discretionary funds; funds earned through external granting bodies will be expended on the projects.

While there are research programs within the Centre, the intention is not to have a formal programmed structure c.f. a CRC, because it is the integrated nature of the research questions and teams that distinguish ACSC from other centres.

In addition, an advisory board will be established to give counsel to the Centre, reporting to the Director for consideration by the management committee, on all aspects of research direction and performance, partnership and government policy. Membership of the advisory board will be announced shortly.
