Marisa Parker

Marisa ParkerMarisa is the Research Development Officer (RDO) for the government funded Digital Futures - Collaborative Research Network (CRN). The operational project management of this program of work is an interesting and challenging role as this program aims to build research capacity and capability at USQ. The digital futures aspect provides a fascinating perspective and is most appropriate for a university that is a leader in distance education.

Marisa has been at USQ since 2007 and completed a Master in Project Management in 2012. Her previous roles as project manager in a business process efficiency project and prior to that in a technical standards innovation project incorporated collaboration with and travel to JISC in the United Kingdom and SURF in The Netherlands. These opportunities have provided Marisa with a broad insight into the differences and similarities faced by global organisations in regards to the digital world such as interoperability, quality and compliancy considerations.
