Why do others give?

Maurice French - Alumni & Past Staff - 'If you have been a beneficiary, consider becoming a benefactor.'

Maurice French'Coming from a remote rural community in Tasmania as the first member of a family to attend University and the beneficiary of a generous scholarship scheme, I appreciate the opportunities offered by tertiary education and feel bound to ensure the continuation of such an opportunity for future generations (especially in regional settings).'

'USQ has provided me with a rewarding career. Hence, I contributed to the Capital Campaign in order to provide an attractive, lively and accommodating campus experience for students and also to the Don & Barbara Stevens Scholarship fund to augment financial support for deserving students from the region.  It was my way of trying to give something back to the institution and community.'

Moree Plains Shire Council - Scholarship Donor - 'We all need to invest in the future skills development for Australia and our youth'.

'USQ was chosen for its recognised excellence in training engineers. In general we particularly want to support young people to become educated and our linking with regional schools and universities is very important to us. Together these partnerships work well for our communities and our organisations'.
