USQ alumni reception in Brisbane

USQ alumni from Brisbane were invited to a cocktail reception at the Brisbane Powerhouse in October.

The River Terrace was the ideal setting for an evening of catching up with old classmates and lecturers and getting to know other USQ alumni. The evening was also the Faculty of Arts' inaugural Arts Tradeshow, and alumni were able to experience  the creative talents of the graduating classes from the School of Creative Arts.

Guests were entertained on arrival by the upbeat tones of the University's popular Ergon Energy USQ Big Band, performing their high energy jazz, blues and funk repertoire, before making their way to the Riverside Terrace. Following an official welcome by USQ Vice Chancellor Bill Lovegrove, USQ alumni and staff chatted into the evening over drinks and nibbles.

This evening attracted many of our Brisbane-based alumni, and the feedback was extremely positive with people enjoying the opportunity to keep in touch with their fellow alumni. Photos from the evening are in the USQ Alumni Network photo gallery.
