Amy Ritter is the founder and owner of the Amy Ritter Music Education program in Toowoomba. Amy graduated from a Bachelor of Primary Education, majoring in Expressive Arts (Music, Drama and Art) at the University of Southern Queensland.
Amy has over 10 years of experience in classroom and instrumental music within both state and private schools. While she enjoys teaching in the traditional school setting, she also acknowledges the need to form a group outside of this context to allow children, younger than school age, to develop through music.
Children as young as eight weeks old attend Amy Ritter’s classes. All of the children gain something from the classes whether they are old enough to sing or play along or just bounce to the beat on their mother’s lap. Not only are the classes good for children but also for mothers as it allows them time to interact, take a break, have a coffee and watch their children learn.
In the future Amy intends to continue to enjoy being a mum, build her music education program and influence the lives of children through the music she teaches in the traditional school setting. She also wants to build a profile of the Arts in schools and the community.
