After graduation and marriage, Mathisha left her home country of Sri Lanka and moved to Dubai. She travelled to Australia (USQ) for the graduation in September 2008 with her husband. Upon returning to Dubai, she was offered employment in Drydocks World-Dubai as a Commercial/Administrative Coordinator, where she is still employed.
During 2009/2010 Mathisha completed the Professional Diploma in Marketing offered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and also successfully completed two CPD years on the Chartered CPD Program. She also had the opportunity to attend a Tasters Course on Organisational Change conducted by the British University in Dubai.

Ursula Wall

From 2003-2011, Ursula was based in Bangkok conducting classes, workshops and teacher-training with participants of all ages in a variety of settings, including camps, schools, universities and private businesses. After finishing her Masters, she was able to acquire funding for some community-based research which allowed for her and colleagues from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi to work with teachers of English in rural Thailand. Vicki Whittle

Since graduation, Vicki has been working in several education settings and is now Project Manager to help set up a new rural secondary school with an emphasis on agricultural studies. She is also involved in a Divorce Care Ministry, which provided her with an opportunity to attend training in the United States in 2008.

Naomi Wilson

Naomi started her USQ experience in 1997, with an Academic Scholarship and enrolled in a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Human Resource Management, Public Relations and German.
During her course she studied for a year in Germany at the Phillips University in Marburg (about an hour out of Frankfurt). Apart from doing some extensive travel and gaining a real appreciation for different cultures, she also managed to collect a huge stack of beer coasters from around Europe! She has done extensive travel around Europe and more recently, Canada with her sister and has a real passion for learning about cultural diversity and trying new foods, languages, and beers!
Naomi graduated with honours in 2001 and worked briefly as a Recruitment Consultant for a firm in Brisbane, doing mainly blue collar placements. However, she soon moved back to Toowoomba to accept a position with Heritage Building Society where she worked up to Senior Personnel Officer. From there she took her next career step as Team Development Manager at Murdoch Lawyers, a prominent local law firm and was there for about a year and a half before changing her career direction and moving into Human Resource consulting.
Naomi has practised HR for over 10 years, and now owns Focus HR (HR consulting). She has graduate degrees (B Bus/Arts), postgraduate (MBA) and professional (CAHRI) qualifications in HRM through USQ, graduating with Honours in all her studies. |

Murray Wright

Since graduating in 1972, Murray taught for seven years in secondary schools at Laidley, Gatton and Beenleigh with Education Queensland before changing to primary schools in 1981.
He returned to teaching in 1989 as a science teacher at Harristown SHS (Toowoomba), taking on a variety of roles (Deputy Principal at Harristown SHS 1993-1996; Assistant Executive Director/Human Resources at the Darling Downs Regional Office – 1996-1997) and completed his Masters of Education with USQ in 1995. Murray commenced as Acting Principal at Toowoomba SHS in 1997 and was appointed to the position permanently from 1998. In December 2002, Murray (who resides in Toowoomba with his wife) decided on a career change and commenced in his current role as Director of Corporate Services with the Toowoomba City Council.

After returning to China in 2005, Sheng Jun worked as General Manager of Shenzhen Tsingtao Brewery South China Sales Company, the largest beer company in China. He is currently Vice-President of Shenzhen Montnets Technology Company, a software company and state-level high-tech enterprise focusing on industrial applications of mobile data technology.

Julienne Youngberry

Julienne has performed various roles since graduating from USQ. She has toured with various Children's shows in Australia, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa and The United States. She has taught acting and/or English in Australia, Italy and The United Kingdom. She also contributed to the development of Sasha Janowicz’s multi-award winning “The Kursk”. Her premier show in 2007 earnt her a Matilda Award nomination and lead to touring the same in 2009. For a short time, Julienne also worked for USQ in the Faculty of Education and Office of External Relations.

Qihua Zhang

Since graduating from her MBA in 2005, Qihua has worked for Bayer, a German company in Shanghai, China. She then moved on to work for Johnson & Johnson for a short while. Currently, Qihua is managing a logistics company in the field of corporate communications. |
