Postgraduate research study
Postgraduate research study, within the Faculty of Arts, is available through:
1. Research programs
The Doctor of Philosophy program is based solely on the preparation of a dissertation. The Faculty offers postgraduate supervisors (PDF* 240 kb) in a range of topic areas. Please contact the Associate Dean (Research) to discuss your proposals for research and options for supervision.
Applications for the Doctor of Philosophy program may be submitted through the Office of Research and Higher Degrees.
2. Coursework programs

Please check the USQ Handbook entry for the particular masters program you wish to apply for to find out if there are further requirements that need to accompany your application (e.g. research proposal).
Scholarships
Research scholarships are awarded to students undertaking a research degree within USQ's niche research areas. These scholarships are available only to Australian citizens, permanent residents and international students.
Public Memory Research Cluster
Students studying in the broad area of Public Memory or Cultural Identity should join the research cluster. Postgraduates in the Public Memory Research Cluster may receive additional annual funding and support when budgets permit. Interested students should contact the Director.
