Visual Arts

Visual Arts provides an exciting and innovative environment for you to undertake studio-based research in discipline areas including ceramics, spatial construction (sculpture, textiles, installation), painting, printmaking, and gallery studies. Committed staff are renowned artists actively involved in the arts sector who will develop your art career through mentoring studio-practices. You can study a double-major (16 courses) in Visual Arts inside the Bachelor of Creative Arts.

Visual Arts frequently hosts an active forum of guest speakers as well as an artist-in-residency programs so that you will have the opportunity to interact with artists of national and international significance. You will also have a platform to exhibit your work through the Red Door gallery, an initiative artist-run-initiative, as well as the A Block Gallery which works with Artsworx to organise exchange exhibitions from other institutions around Australia. The networking opportunities for students in Visual Arts is dynamic and designed to enable emerging artists into the industry and postgraduate study.
