Assessment

Assignment receipt and collection

The Faculty of Arts Assessment Policy requires that all assignments for on-campus courses must be submitted to the Faculty Assessment Centre on the Ground Floor of Q Block no later than 12.00pm on the due date. Students should refer to course specifications for specific assessment details.

Assessment

Students are advised that they can access their assignment marks and overall results via USQConnect.

Referencing

Students are required to follow a consistent and recognised system of referencing for written assignments.

Essay Preparation

Information is available on essay preparation, plagiarism, referencing and bibliographies.

Plagiarism

The unauthorised use of other people's words for a student's own purposes is not permitted in assignments. There are a number of strategies and methods that can be used to help avoid plagiarism.

Exams

The examination timetables are available approximately six weeks prior to the start of each exam period.

Creative Arts practical assessment

Students will be notified of the assessment day and time by their specific department or examiner.

Study materials

Study materials, including textbooks, are necessary for each course of study. On-campus students are required to purchase their course study materials from the USQ Bookshop. Off-campus students receive their study package via courier prior to the commencement of semester.
