Enrolment

Enrol in courses

Information is provided to assist students to successfully complete the enrolment process

Recommended enrolment patterns

Recommended enrolment patterns for each program of study are listed in the USQ Handbook.

Registering for tutorials

You are required to enrol in courses with more than one tutorial through the USQConnect Student Tutorial System (SETS). Any problems with the Faculty of Arts timetable should be directed to Eve McIntyre. Students enrolled in the Music, Theatre or Visual Arts courses should attend the first lecture where the tutorial allocation will be made.

Off-campus students who wish to attend lectures or tutorials should submit a question via USQAssist.

Credit for previous study

On entry to an award program, you may be granted exemptions (transfer of credit) for relevant tertiary studies successfully completed in the last ten years, or work experience and job training deemed equivalent in objectives, standard or content.

Deferral and leave of absence

Deferment enables new students who have not enrolled to delay the commencement of their studies for the period of one year. This does not apply to performing and creative arts programs.

Continuing students may apply for leave of absence for a whole academic year.  If students wish to be absent from study for just one semester, there is no need to apply for leave of absence.
