Hi, my name is Matt Nielsen and I’m the Lecturer in Creative Media.

Animation, art and new media are all types of visual language that crosses many cultural boundaries. Studying Creative Media at USQ will arm you with the means to communicate in a way that will speak to everyone.

The art of animation isn’t simply getting a character to move. It is about engaging your audience with the story that you are telling by imbuing your characters with life. The practice of digital art allows the artist to create their art at a speed in which they can conceive it.

As Creative Media instructors we are here to work alongside you and to encourage your artistic practice. To us you are our peers of whom we will be working with on many projects in the future.
