Step into the creative mind-space of theatre designer, award-winning couturier and fashion consultant, Carolyn Taylor-Smith.

Costume Designer at USQ since 2001, Carolyn's creations have featured in such memorable Shakespeare in the Park productions as The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Comedy of Errors and Taming of the Shrew and a myriad of (indoor) opera and theatre seasons.

The seminar offers a rare insight into the role of a Designer including aesthetic, creative and practical challenges, particularly in the context of touring, outdoor theatrical performances and the processes used to achieve the ‘look' of productions.

Static displays, together with a costume parade will show off a selection of designs from the University's collection ranging from the otherworldly creations to classic pieces.
