Ensemble A250
USQ's resident ensemble returns to the Arts Theatre with a premium program of works for clarinet, cello and piano.
The charismatic trio comprises Marilyn Meier-Kapavale, one of Australia's leading contemporary pianists, consummate clarinettist, Martin Crook and Associate Principal Cellist with the Queensland Orchestra, Matthew Kinmont.
The program will include Kenneth Leighton's Fantasy on an American Hymn Tune and Beethoven's Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano - an early work, composed in 1798 and regarded as atypical of the composer; gentle, lyrical.
