Sunwrae Ensemble
Founded in Melbourne in 2001, the Sunwrae Ensemble showcases some of Australia's finest versatile musicians with a unique and flexible line-up.
Sunwrae's Eavesdropping is dynamic performance of stunning cinematic music, performed by a nine-piece chamber group on grand piano, vibraphone, string quartet, harp, alto flute, double bass and percussion.
Launching their new album, Autumn Never Fall and animation film clip The Machine, the Ensemble stylishly captivate audiences with their sophisticated sound, spectacular improvisations and rich blend of original music by Artistic Director Rae Howell.
To see these compositions interpreted by a nine-piece ensemble is a rare treat and the passages of improvisation throughout give the performances an immediacy and vibrancy rarely experienced in a classical recital.
