Mother Courage and Her Children Teachers Notes
The following set of Teachers' Notes has been written to provide a basic understanding of Brecht, his work and specifically his play, Mother Courage and Her Children. The USQ Performance Centre's production of Brecht's masterpiece has been adapted by Director, Scott Alderdice in order to make it more relevant to a modern audience. These Notes have been written by Dramaturges, Sarah Peters and Brandee McEwan, under the advice and counsel of Dr Darryl Chalk.
A DVD resource was produced in conjunction with this project and is available for purchase. Discovering Brecht: An Interactive Guide for Students provides an excellent learning opportunity for students grappling to understand one of the masters of contemporary drama.
