The Guest Director

Mary-Ann Vale is a prominent theatre professional who, among other things, has directed over twenty plays in the last two decades.

A Performing Arts graduate of the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (now USQ), Mary-Ann  has won many awards throughout her career including Best Director for her productions of Two Women and a Chair and Distant Lights in Dark Places.

She was one of the key players and initiators in revitalising the Griffin Theatre Company in the early 1990s, to which she was awarded a life membership in 2001. 

Mary-Ann has also been awarded as a life member of The Seaborn, Broughton and Walford Foundation of NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art).

Besides directing, Mary-Ann also runs her own business in Noosa where, for the past nine years, she has been teaching drama.
