Three Sisters is one of the most frequently performed Chekhov plays, having been performed in every major city across the world. Chekhov wrote Three Sisters in the autumn of 1900. By January 1901, it had been performed at the Moscow Arts Theatre where it enjoyed an unrivalled success.
