Hero Activities

Your students may enjoy learning the words and making their own actions to the song featured in the play; Bonnie Tyler's Holding out for a Hero.

Picture Postcards
Ask your students to each create a item using their bodies that they might find in a given setting.  Mark out the 'postcard' area of the classroom and all students must volunteer an idea and then place themselves as that idea in the designated space. Other students can build upon these once they are frozen in the space. Try some of these suggested settings from Zac the Hero:

• A playground
• A human body
• A wedding
• Fairyland
• A castle
