USQ legal scholars undertake a range of research in international and domestic environmental law. Aspects of Australian Commonwealth and state laws investigated include heritage law, environmental regulation of mining, Commonwealth environmental regulation and approvals, ecological sustainable development and Australia’s policy and legislative response to climate change and greenhouse gas emission reduction. Academics within the Law School have researched or are currently researching a range of international environmental law areas including climate change, global warming, marine fisheries, marine pollution and geo-sequestration and ocean-acidification.
