Studying at USQ has been a tremendous advantage for me, both from a professional and personal perspective. I have studied as an internal, as well as an external student, and have found both study modes rewarding and enjoyable.

The high quality teaching staff have provided me with the skills to not only perform the fundamentals of an IT career but have also provided the underlying analytical skills to think innovatively and laterally to find solutions to the most complex of issues.

Qualifications from USQ are well regarded in all forms of employment. I have no doubt that the respect for USQ qualifications has contributed to my career success. It has also given me the self-belief to tackle any situation with confidence.

The learning environment at USQ is second to none. The staff are well qualified and are genuinely interested in the development of every student. The facilities both on- and off-campus are excellent and are conducive to achieving a high degree of success.

Perhaps the greatest reward for studying at USQ is the interaction with the fellow students. I maintain strong friendships and business acquaintances with many of my past colleagues.

I would recommend that any prospective student thinking of a career in IT strongly consider the benefits and respect earned by studying at USQ. You won't be disappointed. USQ offers a wide variety of IT course options to satisfy the individual interests of every student. Your qualifications will be well regarded, you will find the teaching staff inspiring and your prospects of excellent employment are very high.

Gerald Goh
Gerald Goh

Gerald Goh - Bachelor of Information Technology, Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems, Master of Information Technology

My research supervisors provided me with a great deal of encouragement and advice on conducting proper research. They were there to provide me with the gentle 'nudge' whenever I needed one. As a result I am truly pleased with the outcome of the Masters dissertation and have since got positive feedback regarding the study ever since the electronic version of the dissertation was uploaded on the Australasian Digital Theses server.

The experience and rigour I underwent in preparing the dissertation is paying its dividends now as it is making my PhD studies less painful and rather easy. By the looks of it, I may be able to complete the PhD in record time! I'm glad to have decided to complete my three academic qualifications with USQ.

Daryn Grantham
Daryn Grantham

Daryn Grantham - Bachelor of Information Technology

While at USQ, Daryn completed a combined degree with majors in human resources management, computer software development and IT management, as well as holding down four part-time jobs.

The day after his final exam Daryn boarded a plane and travelled through Africa, Europe and America, visiting over 50 cities.

In January, Daryn was offered a position with Suncorp and has had the opportunity to work in a number of different areas of IT ranging from coding, web development, IT security and human resource management. Through this program Daryn is gaining the kind of corporate experience most graduates can only dream of, and sees this as truly the beginning of an adventure of a lifetime. In his (limited) spare time Daryn pursues his passion of ballroom dancing.
