Andreas Eder - Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management major)

My studies at USQ have helped me on several occasions. One of the most important was when I applied as a volunteer for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany. Because this was a major tourism event, people were very interested in the degree I am doing, and interpreted my study at USQ as a very important and positive thing.

The most rewarding benefit of studying at USQ is that you gain an internationally accepted degree. This will make my life easier when looking for jobs in different parts of the world. I chose the University of Southern Queensland not just because they have several USQ offices around the world, but also because they offer fast-tracking throughout the summer semester.

The advice I would give to someone who is considering studying at USQ is make the best out of your study at USQ, enjoy your time with your classes and make as many friends as possible, no matter where they come from. And if you get the chance, go on one of the overseas trips which are offered.

My personal opinion about USQ is that it is a good university, with great lecturers who keep your studies exciting and interesting throughout the course. They are also more than helpful if misunderstandings occur and do really seem to care about the individual and not just the whole group.
