Springfield public transport

Public transport to Education City is currently available via rail to nearby Goodna and Redbank stations connecting with TransLink bus services.

A further rail line to Greater Springfield, with a station close to the campus, is planned to be in place by 2015, as outlined in the State Government’s South-east Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program 2005-2006.

Bus Services

Timetable information (pdf) is provided below and is also available from TransLink. The bus stop is just a one minute walk from the front door of the USQ Building.

Route 520 (PDF* 480k): Servicing the new Orion Springfield Town Centre and Education City, specifically for student residential areas at Redbank Plains. Commencing at Redbank Station travelling via Redbank Plaza, Kruger Parade, Redbank Plains Shopping Centre, Augusta Parkway and servicing Augustine Heights, Brookwater and St Augustine's College, continuing to Orion Springfield Town Centre and Education City. Hourly Monday to Sunday and coordinate with trains at Redbank Station.

Route 534 (PDF*318k): Servicing the new Orion Springfield Town Centre and Education City, with connections from Sunnybank Hills, Calamvale and Parkinson at Browns Plains. Operating between Browns Plains (Grand Plaza), Hillcrest, Forestdale, Larapinta, Heathwood, Forest Lake, Carole Park, Springfield, Education City and Orion Springfield Town Centre. Connecting with Brisbane Transport Route 460 from Mt Ommaney at Forest Lake. Hourly Monday to Sunday and coordinating with other bus routes at Grand Plaza, Forest Lake Village. The timetable will target lecture times at Education City.

Route 522 (PDF* 483k): Servicing Education City to Orion Springfield Town Centre, hourly Monday to Saturday and coordinating with trains at Goodna.

Route 523 (PDF* 480k): 1Servicing Bellbird Park to Orion Springfield Town Centre, Education City and Springfield. Hourly Monday to Saturday and coordinating with trains at Goodna.

Route 530 (PDF* 483k): Servicing Springfield Lakes to Orion Springfield Town Centre and Education City. Hourly Monday to Sunday and coordinating with trains at Goodna.
