Maintenance Requests

Maintenance is the repair and replacement of existing facilities but does not include the supply of new facilities, alterations or additions to existing facilities.

Services provided include:

• carpentry, joinery and general building work;
• plumbing;
• electrical;
• painting; and
• floor coverings.

Should you require building maintenance activities within your area, e.g. leaking toilets, broken windows, locks or doors not operating correctly, light bulbs that require changing, etc, please follow the steps below:

1. Please refer the problem to the nominated person within your faculty/section as it may have already been reported.
2. If not reported, it can be logged online.

If your request is for Grounds or other outside maintenance that cannot have a room number assigned to it then you must choose an appropriate zone.  Please download the BEIMS Zones (PDF 318KB) document if you are unsure which one to select.

Please note that if the activity relates to building security or is deemed to be life threatening, please call Karen Maris immediately. Do not log a request.
