University Funded Minor Works

Faculties/Sections are requested to submit applications for University funded minor works projects. It is the responsibility of the Minor Works and Major Equipment Committee to review and recommend successful applications for funding. (Note:  Centrally funded Minor Works and Major Equipment have been suspended until further notice).

The range of projects can vary widely in scope and value and includes minor works:

  • to support the student learning journey;
  • to improve working conditions for current staff and students;
  • cater for changes to enrolments or teaching programs;
  • refurbish special purpose laboratories; or
  • address occupational health and safety issues.

All Faculty/Section funded minor works projects are to be coordinated and implemented through Campus Services Planning and Space to ensure maximum value for money whilst maintaining statutory compliance and a consistent University standard.  A Minor Works, Capital Works Space Request form is to be completed and submitted with the Faculty/Section request.

The Planning and Space Section will collaboratively determine the most appropriate project delivery mode along with budget and program goals.
