Student ID Cards
USQ Security is responsible for the provision and management of ID cards at USQ.
Your USQ ID card serves a variety of functions:
- Identification
- Building access
- Vending print and photocopying
- Library borrowing
- Public transport concessions (where available)
It is very important that you have your ID card with you whenever on campus or attending exams.
You are entitled to one free ID card during your study at USQ. There is a cost associated with the replacement of any lost, stolen or destroyed cards.
The process to receive an ID card varies depending on your campus or study mode, please see instructions below:
Toowoomba campus
The ID cards will be available from HUB 1 in R Block Mall (adjacent to the Bookshop) for the first couple of weeks each semester including orientation weekdepending on demand. The operating times will be from 9:00am – 3:00pm, you will be required to produce a form of identification, such as a Drivers licence, Proof of Age Card, Birth Certificate or Passport, and your Student number which is on your Enrolment Notice.
Outside of this time, Student ID cards will be available from the Security Office (Z3 101) between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Distance and Online students will be able to attend HUB 1 during the Phoenix Carnival Day (Sunday 24th) between 9:00am - 2:00pm and have their ID cards processed. The card will be mailed out within 5 working days with instructions to activate the card.
Outside of these above dates, ID cards are available from the Security Office (Z3 Block, adjacent to Finance) from 9.00am to 4.00pm (AEST), Monday to Friday.

Springfield campus
Student ID cards for on-campus-enrolled students are available from the Security
Room 121 between 9.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (subject to change).

Fraser Coast campus
Student ID cards for on-campus-enrolled students are available from the USQ Bookshop
between 10:00am and 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (subject to change).

Distance and online students
Off-Campus Students are permitted to initiate the production of a USQ Student ID Card via the online process, provided that all terms and conditions are followed.
Production of the Off-Campus Student ID Cards is initiated within the Student’s UConnect account under the UDo tab.
It is highly recommended that the applicants ensure that they read through the accompanying information very carefully and follow the Step by Step instructions. The application process is only valid for 24hrs after which the applicant will need to recommence the process.
Applicants will need to have the following ready to be uploaded:
- Portrait oriented, passport style photograph of not less than 1200x1600 pixels resolution (JPG format), the photo must be taken against a white or light neutral background and be in focus.
- Scanned copy or clear photograph of a government issued Evidence of Identity document not more than five (5) years old such as Drivers Licence, 18+/Proof of Age Card or Passport (PDF or JPG files only).
Note: Applicants are required to pay a $20.00 fee for any reprints of cards, required due to loss, damage or the use of a photo that does not meet the guidelines.
