Parking

Motor vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles are required to park in designated parking areas. Information on parking for each of the University campuses is available:

Parking in any area not marked as vehicle parking, such as lawns, footpaths and paved areas, is prohibited. A speed limit of 40kph applies to roads within the University precinct, and 5kph in parking areas.

Bicycle racks

Bicycle racks at the Toowoomba campus can be found throughout the campus. Refer to the end-of-trip facilities map (PDF 368KB) for locations.

At Fraser Coast campus bicycle racks are located between A and B Block. These are the only areas bicycles are to be left. It is suggested that bikes be secured by a locking system.

Bicycles are not to be attached to any other fencing or ramps that may inhibit access to disabled staff or students. Bicycles cannot be taken inside any buildings.

All campus roads are subject to the Road Safety (Traffic) Regulations 1988 and as a consequence helmets should be worn at all times whilst riding bikes within the campus ring road.

Traffic regulations

Parking at the University of Southern Queensland is regulated in accordance with the provisions of the University of Southern Queensland Act 1998 (PDF*), which provides for various penalties for driving and parking breaches. All vehicles parked on the site of the University do so at the owner's risk.
