The Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation (DIGO) is a dynamic organisation which makes a critical contribution to the safeguarding of Australia’s national interests. Through our intelligence products based on geospatial and imagery analysis and our management of Defence’s geospatial information and services, DIGO aids decision-makers in Canberra and soldiers on operations alike.
We offer you the chance to develop or enhance your skills in an imagery, geospatial or scientific role whilst working in a dynamic, supportive, team-based environment. As an intelligence analyst you will contribute to the Australian national security effort, examining issues of global and regional importance. The work is constantly evolving, offering exciting and unique opportunities. DIGO provides direct support to military operations regionally and across the globe and forms part of the National Intelligence Community. We play a crucial role in informing the Government about developments overseas and in Australia that affect our national security and international interests.

Seeking
DIGO is looking for talented and enthusiastic graduates from a range of disciplines to join our DIGO Intelligence Development Program (DIDP) at our Canberra office. DIGO encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Programs & deadlines
Applications open: 10/03/11 – 17/04/11
The DIDP includes an initial period of comprehensive training focused on imagery and geospatial intelligence skills development. Participants then undertake two workplace rotations and continuation training to consolidate skills, knowledge and liaison networks. These rotations are carefully managed to offer participants a range of analytical experience within DIGO.

A salary package of $66,850 (including Superannuation and a Grad APS4 Salary of $57,929).
