Polymer testing facilities

As part of our commitment to the advancement of the Australian polymer and composites industry, PTS is proud to offer a range of materials testing services to composite fabricators, polymer manufacturers and suppliers. All testing is conducted to internationally recognised standards – ISO, ASTM, AS, BS.

Research and testing facility in polymers and composites:

R&D in bio-composites

• Use of natural fibres
• epoxidised vegetable oils
• use of renewable materials
• synthesis of novel resins

Resin analysis and testing

• Degree of curing (%)
• heat distortion temperature (HDT)
• glass transition temperature (TG)
• gel-time
• spectroscopic analysis (FTIR GC/MS)
