CEEFC was involved in the analysis and design of the first fibre composite windmill structure that was erected at USQ as part of its 40th anniversary celebration.  A keystone event of the University's 40th Anniversary was the launch of the Community Drive that included the windmill wind sculpture and other features.

This windmill was manufactured by Buchanan Advanced Composites Pty Ltd, a Toowoomba based fibre composite industry.  The community driveway was officially launched on 2 November 2007.
