Integrated Articulation and Credit Transfer Project
The Integrated Articulation and Credit Transfer (IACT) Project is to develop seamless articulation pathways between the Higher Education and the Vocational Education and Training sectors.
Creative Communities
Creative Communities facilitates a number of projects in the community in the South East Queensland area including Cultural Catchments, Inside Out, Hervey Bay Verbatim, Able, Protective Behaviours, and Reach.
Qld Smart Home Initiative
Qld Smart Home Initiative is is a research project designed to build a demonstration, research & development project for innovation for aged, chronic care and disabilities support in home and community settings. USQ in conjunction with Collaboration for Ageing and Aged-care Informatics Research (CAAIR) is leading the way in the development of assistive technologies for homecare.
Better Living Diabetics Project
The Better Living Diabetics Project coordinated by USQ and Goondir Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation for Health, aims to reduce the health impact of diabetes in Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island people by improving self management skills, education towards improvements in health lifestyle behaviours and facilitating access to Allied Health services not previously available.
Granite Net
GraniteNet is a virtual environment where members of the community either individually or in social groups or organisations interact daily. Where interaction becomes part of the daily Stanthorpe experience, focusing on Lifestyle, Health, Innovation, Creativity and Opportunity within a 'Learning Community"
Go West
GO WEST is an equity funded project mentoring female students in non traditional areas of study.
The Hervey Bay Business Information Centre
The Hervey Bay Business Information Centre provides web based information portals and business support within the Hervey Bay region in partnership with Hervey Bay City Council, Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce and, the Queensland Government's Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry.
Open Courses Pathway Initiative
USQ has become part of the Open Educational Resources (OER) movement. Internet, provides an exceptional opportunity to increase access to knowledge and to share it, use it and reuse it. In demonstrating our commitment to the principles of OER, USQ has become the first Australian university to become a member of the OpenCourseWare Consortium.
Toowoomba FlexiSchool
USQ has been involved in the Toowoomba FlexiSchool since it's early inception. The University's staff have volunteered at the school offering mentoring and support to students.
USQ Bicycle User Group
The University has been supporting cyclists for a number of years and encourages this through ride to work days. The University encourages cyclists to participate to reduce carbon footprints. A number of Bicycle User Groups are available in Toowoomba and surrounding areas.
IDEAS
USQ through the IDEAS project has been involved in school research, restructuring and the alignment of essential school functions such as strategic vision, teaching and learning, community expectations, work practices and professional learning for over a decade.
The Brolga Project
The Brolga Project is a new, developing initiative which is offering university students the opportunity to complete their work experience with businesses in rural and/or regional Australia.
