Bicycle User Group

The USQ Bicycle Users Group (BUG) has a vital role to play in raising 'getting to work' issues with the Toowoomba BUG, that can then be worked through with the Toowoomba Regional Council. It will have representation on the Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) through the Toowoomba BUG.

The USQ BUG is connected to the Toowoomba BUG, whose role is to lobby the Toowoomba Regional Council to both implement the Cycle and Pedestrian Strategy and to create a new form of communication and consultation process within a much expanded council area.

The Toowoomba BUG encourages all Toowoomba and regional workplaces to form BUGs and to work with the Toowoomba BUG to improve the cycling facilities and experience here. Toowoomba is well served by a range of cycling clubs who all have access to the BUG as well as continuing to lobby in their own right.

The BAC is a Queensland Transport initiative that brings together all the relevant bodies within a region to ensure a coordinated approach is taken to improve many aspects of cycling.
