Faculty of Arts CoP

The Faculty of Arts CoP was initiated in 2006 targeting the leaders of first year courses offered by the Faculty of Arts at USQ.

What is the vision?

The Faculty of Arts' CoP vision is to:

• improve the first year experiences for students in the Faculty
• empower academics to become more student focussed in their teaching practice, a necessary ingredient in a Faculty where there is increasing student diversity.  This diversity presents challenges for learning and teaching and for assessment.

What is the focus?

The Faculty of Arts CoP has been focussing on issues related to:

• assessment
• the Faculty learning and teaching plan
• diversity
• the student learning journey.

What is the role?

The Faculty of Arts CoP performs a valuable role by:

• supporting academics
• providing resources
• instigating the professional development of its members.
