About us
USQ operates a business networking group in Toowoomba to allow the Darling Downs business community greater access to the University. The Corporate Club provides businesses with the opportunity to network at monthly functions.
The Club also plays a key role in fundraising for the University's premiere scholarship, the Chancellor's Scholarship. The Scholarship is awarded annually to one student at the Toowoomba, Springfield and Fraser Coast campuses.
The USQ Corporate Club was established in 1990 and has more than 200 member businesses. The Club is administered by the USQ Office of External Relations with Cheryl Abberton responsible for the overall management of the Club.
The Club is strongly supported by USQ's Chancellor Bobbie Brazil and Vice Chancellor. The Club also receives support from Darling Downs community leaders including local and state government representatives.
Current membership includes businesses from the private and public sector representing a range of industries including banking, education, engineering, finance, media, primary production, real estate, transport etc.
