University CouncilThe University's governing body is the Council. The Council, comprising 14 members representing University and community interests, contributes to the overall governance of the University by helping to set strategic directions and develop policy. LegislationThe University of Southern Queensland Act 1998 (PDF* 14 kb) establishes the Council and defines the functions and powers of the Council (PDF 76 kb) (at sections 8 and 9) and the University (at sections 5 and 6) and sets limits on what the University and its authorities may do. The ChancellorThe Chancellor leads the governing body of the University, the Council. USQ's Chancellor is Ms Bobbie Brazil.
