Activity 1
How does life modify global and local temperature?
- experiment with the daisy world model.
- Put a black and a white object (of similar material) out in the sun
for an hour.
- Which is hottest?
- How does this compare with the white & black daisies in Lovelock's
model (SR18 p58)?
- Put a cup of water out in the sun for the day, marking the level at
the start
- What has happened to the water level at the end of the day?
- What happens to water that evaporates into the atmosphere?
