Course assessment

Assessment in this course is based on two assignments. Each has multiple elements.

Preparation and submission of assignments

The general focus of the assignment tasks is on communicating professionally about ICT in education. The tasks should be sufficiently open for students to select topics of personal or professional interest. The intended audience is generally your professional peers.

All assignment work should be prepared using a word processor or other appropriate software. Submission is via the relevant assignment area in the StudyDesk. Each element of the assignment (2 for Assignment 1 and 3 for Assignment 2) should be submitted electronically as a file uploaded through the StudyDesk as an attachment.

The following formats are acceptable for assignment tasks submitted as attached files:

• Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)
• Rich Text Format (RTF)
• MS Word (DOC)

You can help to ensure correct handling of your files by:

• Including your name and a brief indication of the contents of each file in the notes area available in each assignment.
• Naming your file using your initials and the assignment and task number with the relevant filename extension. For example, if I submitted the second element of the first assignment as a PDF file I should name it pra_a1e2.pdf.

Sources should be properly cited and referenced according to the APA system as used in these materials. The USQ Library has an online Guide to referencing using the APA style. The online citation machine provides a useful service for formatting references.
