• Clean interventions

• Primarily skin borne microbes

• Eg S.aureus S.pyogenes

• Can lead to cellulitis

• Patient underlying illness and predisposition needs to be accounted

• eg 1. immunocompromised/suppressed

• eg 2 Diabetics can have infections of decubitous ulcers colonized by enterococci & enterobacteria
