| 9. | (a) On the due date of assessment and by the appointed time the student must have arranged a display of the semester's work in the appointed space and be in attendance to discuss the work. (b) In accordance with the University's Assignment Extension Policy (Regulation 5.6.1) the Head of Department may grant an extension of the assessment date, however this can only be done in extenuating circumstances due to the need to reappointment the external assessor. (c) At this, the final practical assessment for the program, students who have been adjudged by the assessment panel not to have met the objectives of the course will fail. (d) Students who for extraordinary health or family circumstances are unable to present for assessment at the due time may apply for deferment of assessment, accompanying the request with appropriate supporting documentation, in which an IDM may be granted and arrangements made for assessment at a future date. |
