RATIONALE:
Students undertaking research need to prepare, plan and implement their research proposal. This course allows students to do so.
SYNOPSIS:
This course is the fourth of four dissertation units. Students will complete their dissertation whilst enrolled in this course.
OBJECTIVES:
On successful completion of this course students will be able to:

IMPORTANT ASSESSMENT INFORMATION
- Attendance requirements:
There are no attendance requirements for this course. However, it is the students' responsibility to study all material provided to them or required to be accessed by them to maximise their chance of meeting the objectives of the course and to be informed of course-related activities and administration.
- Requirements for students to complete each assessment item satisfactorily:
The course will be assessed as outlined in the Regulations and Procedures for Assessment and Supervision of Master of Health Candidates, a copy of which will be provided to each student on enrolment in the course. Students are required to give a satisfactory report to the Department of Nursing Research and Higher Degrees Committee by the end of the semester. They will then be given the 1 mark for that report.
- Penalties for late submission of required work:
If students submit assignments after the due date without prior approval the Examiner may award a Fail grade for the course.
- Requirements for student to be awarded a passing grade in the course:
The course will be graded as Pass/Fail (P/F). To pass the course, students must gain 1 mark for the Report by the end of the semester and be recommended for a Pass by both examiners appointed in accordance with the Regulations and Procedures for Assessment and Supervision of Master of Health Candidates.
- Method used to combine assessment results to attain final grade:
As P is the only passing grade available for this course, all students who are qualified for a passing grade will be given a grade of P. Other students will be given either a Failing grade or an Incomplete grade.
- Examination information:
There is no examination in this course.
- Examination period when Deferred/Supplementary examinations will be held:
There will be no Deferred or Supplementary examinations in this course.
