This course involves a review of the literature associated with a project selected for study. Students will nominate a substantial project that will incorporate significant theoretical issues as well as providing practical experiences relevant to their career development. The project may be sponsored by the student's employer. The literature review will identify the major issues associated with the project and provide a theoretical and conceptual basis for the project. Enrolment in this course is subject to the availability of a supervisor.
OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- identify suitable research topics
- undertake independent research
- demonstrate appropriate communication skills
- report research outcomes.

- Attendance requirements:

To complete the project satisfactorily, students must obtain at least 50% of the marks available for the project. - Penalties for late submission of required work:

The final grades for students will be assigned on the basis of the marks obtained for the project. - Examination information:
There is no examination in this course. The completed project will normally be examined by the supervisor. Where a student is enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Research, the completed project will be examined by the supervisor and one other examiner, normally appointed from staff in the Faculty of Business. At least one of the examiners will hold a PhD qualification. - Examination period when Deferred/Supplementary examinations will be held:
