RATIONALE

This is the first course of the final research component (by part-time mode) of the Master of Visual Arts in which the candidate is expected to produce studio based research of a speculative nature. The course culminates in a work-in-progress exhibition, performance or publication which demonstrates artistic, intellectual and critical rigour of a high standard. Candidates through this research are expected to demonstrate significant progress towards making a valuable contribution to their chosen field of practice.
