Synopsis

National economies, today, cannot function well in isolation from occurrences in other national economies; global interdependence now characterises national and international affairs. In this course, the disciplines of international economics and international trade are enriched by contributions from industrial organisation to explore issues in international trade and investment. Although a good deal of the material in the course has been drawn from Australian and United States experience, the views, theories and lessons contained therein can be readily generalised.
